Terms of Service

Effective date: July 2, 2026. These terms cover your use of Meal Fame, a service for organizing meal trains. By using it, you agree to them.

What Meal Fame is

Meal Fame lets an organizer set up a meal train for a family, and lets neighbors claim nights and bring supper. Some optional parts involve payment: sending a family a gift card, ordering a keepsake, or an organization's monthly subscription.

Accounts and access

An organizer signs in with a one-tap email link or a texted code. There is no password. Neighbors who help do not create accounts; they use a private link. You are responsible for keeping your own sign-in link or the family link private, since anyone with the link can act as you on that train.

Using it well

Use Meal Fame lawfully. Do not interfere with how it runs, probe it for vulnerabilities, misrepresent who you are, or use it to harass anyone or to collect information about a family for any purpose other than bringing them a meal.

Payments

Gift cards, keepsakes, and organization subscriptions are paid through Stripe's hosted checkout, and prices are shown before you pay. An organization subscription renews monthly until you cancel it, and you can cancel anytime from your billing settings; cancellation stops future charges and is not retroactive. Gift cards and keepsakes are one-time purchases. If something goes wrong with a payment or a fulfillment, email hello@mealfame.com and we will make it right.

What you provide

You keep ownership of what you write and the photos you add. By adding them, you let us show them within the train they belong to, so the family and helpers can see them. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

As is

We work hard to keep Meal Fame running and accurate, but we provide it as is, without warranties about availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Meal Fame helps coordinate meals; it does not prepare food and is not responsible for what a neighbor cooks or brings, including its safety or the handling of allergies.

Text messaging program

Our text messaging program has its own description and consent terms on the Text Messages page, which is part of these terms once you opt in. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.

Intellectual property

Meal Fame, the Meal Fame wordmark, and the contents of this site are protected and may not be copied or used commercially without permission.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of Meal Fame. Total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to one hundred dollars.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to them will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee.
