Is Meal Fame free?
Core meal trains are free for everyone involved: the coordinator who sets it up, the friends who bring food, and the family who receives the meals. Starting a train, sharing the link, claiming a night, and getting reminders cost nothing.
Do helpers need to create an account?
No. Friends and neighbors help with one tap. There is no account and no password to help. The coordinator shares one link, and helpers claim a night right from it. Keeping it that simple is the whole idea.
Is the family's address kept private?
Yes. The folks bringing food never see the family's delivery address. That privacy is built into how Meal Fame works, not a setting someone has to remember to switch on. It is one of the reasons families feel comfortable letting a wider circle help.
How do text reminders work?
Meal Fame texts only people who give their number directly and agree to receive messages. Coordination reminders and optional appreciation messages are separate choices, and neither is on by default. You can reply STOP anytime to opt out. The full detail is on our Text Messages page.
What makes Meal Fame different?
Two honest things. First, the experience changes with the situation. A new baby gets a warm, celebratory feel, and a grieving family gets a plain, quiet one. The tone matches the moment, so no family is ever shown a celebration during a loss. Second, Meal Fame is built to be read and, at launch, acted on by an AI assistant, so someone who asks their assistant to help bring a family supper can be pointed to a real plan they can act on. Most coordination tools are not even readable by an assistant.
What can I use Meal Fame for?
Any reason that calls for a hot meal on the porch: a new baby, a surgery, a long illness, a loss, a new home, or just a hard season. The coordinator picks the reason, and the experience matches it.
